Thread: accelerating ressources access for vbox

hi everybody,

i'm winamp-addict , wanted listen music on winamp installed on windows guest vbox. when that, have little audio bugs called think, xruns. accelerate virtualbox access host ressources. noticed when used pulseaudio audio server on vbox, had many xruns. then, tried alsa in place of pulseaudio , realize things better had less xruns. wanted avoid totaly.
when worked on old laptop dell vostro 1000 (amd athlon x2, 2 gio) had bugs thought computer lacking power. have asus g74s (i7, 4 gio, 3 go video memory) , have same frequency of xruns (which surprised me). thought powerful computer things should go faster.i think perhaps re-configuration, or trick listen music fluently windows guest on vbox. typed command (hdparm -t /dev/sda) found on site linuxmao.org, , had:

timing cached reads: 14802 mb in 2.00 seconds = 7407.32 mb/sec

site said must have less 60 ms avoid xruns.

if can that, no longer boot on windows 7 since winamp reason why boot on windows.

thanx lot giving me attention.
