Thread: cannot install flash player 10 upgrade

i have ubuntu 10.04 in 32 bit machine firefox 3.6.24 ubuntu. cannot see videos , message upgrade flash player. options given .rpm , .targz. can download either of these , can unpack them. not .deb file offered. firefox not find upgrade , cannot seem install.
there .deb download anywhere?
have use alien?
have use command line? write?
why there no upgrade in ubuntu applications packages?
have have chrome rather firefox?
please help!

install add-on firefox: flash-aid. add-on install correct flash player , removing conflicting flash players.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
