Thread: Fresco Logic USB 3.0 not working

hi. have asrock 770extreme motherboard onboard fresco logic usb 3.0. have been unable working under ubuntu 11.10. port works fine under windows 7 fresco logic drivers installed. when connect , power on external drive under ubuntu, absolutely nothing happens , drive apparently isn't recognized.
suggestions??
have tried adding pci=nomsi /etc/default/grub , did sudo update-grub. after reboot issue still remains.
