Thread: Galaxy Nexus and libmtp

hi

got galaxy nexus.

laptop not detect it. install gmtp supposed able read/write stuff.

however, apparently default libmtp (libmtp8 ) has bug installed latest version (libmtp.so.9.0.1). lot of people have reported success after change. however, in case, gmtp still crashes ugly segmentation fault :

device 0 (vid=04e8 , pid=685c) unknown.
please report vid/pid , device model libmtp development team
android device detected, assigning default bug flags
error 1: storage information failed.
error 2: ptp layer error 02fe: get_handles_recursively(): not object handles.
error 2: (look in ptp.h explanation.)
segmentation fault
here status of libmtp library files :

amarok , vlc reason have little libmtp.so.8 link. if formally uninstall libmtp8, ubuntu removes amarok , vlc

on how gmtp working appreciated.
thanks,

update :
