Thread: Give to an application admin privileges

hello!

know how start application admin privileges, have application specific tasks , none, except one, needs admin privileges.
not willing start application administrator privileges because of specific task , came in mind happens in ubuntu software center (usc):
when click on install, prompts password, , once type it, program gets (temporarily) admin privileges install selected software.
can en-light me on how works same or similar own app?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
