Thread: How do I start from scratch?

hello running ubuntu 10.10, have download allot of things , messed around more so. goal reload ubuntu.

don't have cd or external hard drive or put ubuntu on , set boot off of. question is, how i, or can i, reload ubuntu , start scratch internet , hard drive? have been kind of thinking, maybe download 10.10 make partition wipe current os , replace new clean one. or wondering if there command or something? not sure how go doing of this, tried googleing figured 1 of know , able give me pretty easy instructions. partition idea because reload ubuntu when wanted system. thank much.

do have system put ubuntu distribution on usb thumb drive? have several systems not have cdrom drive, have configure way. external usb cdrom drive can work well. depends on system?

kind of system trying re-install?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
