Thread: Installing wireless PCI card drivers

just installed ubuntu 11.10 on desktop don't have wireless internet access. came cd install drivers. insert cd, open it, double click autorun.exe , nothing happens. how install drivers? linux-compatible i'm brand new linux ubuntu , don't know im doing

hello welcome forum.

trying install windows drivers linux system, in 95% of cases these drivers never work.

open terminal pressing ctrl+alt+t , run these commands 1 @ time
code:
uname -a    lspci -vnn    lsmod
in terminal highlight output , paste new reply between [code] tags clicking # , pasting between sets of brackets

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
