Thread: Low brightness + "Unknown" graphics driver in HP Mini 5102

hi, installed edubuntu 11.10 in hp mini 5102 kids. seems work fine except maximum brightness low. fwiw have got same problem ubuntu 10.* releases.

have tried through system settings ui , of command line tweaks in forum user having problems brightness in 11.10. problem not display dimming alone or anything: it's max brightness far brightness display capable of offering (as seen in windows).

system info known unreliable , according command ran, looks you're running infamous intel 915 chipset -- means intel drivers installed.

if not, seeing command line interface, not desktop.

, don't go looking additional drivers because won't offered there -- since they're installed.
