Thread: mic not working after upgrade to 11.10

i upgraded ubuntu 11.04 11.10 asus eee pc 12' , microphone stopped working when using skype, before working fine

last time not working in ubuntu (with 11.04) , started using xfce desktop, worked fine , started working in gnome, have tried xfce, kde, gnome nothing

know can blame windows buying skype suggestions can have computer functional again?

make fresh install of 11.10
upgrades have never work on computer.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
