Thread: Read only File system
my whole file system has become read in past 30 minutes or so. recreation of post accidentally put in apple users forum. have tried mounting. have tried sudo mounting few options. whole system cant access files. wrong?
btw, gen when mount:

linux won't mount writable ext filesystem contains errors. you'll need boot cd or usb stick , run command "fsck /dev/sda1", or force disk check on boot follows:
the first command forces os mount file system writable can create /forcefsck file touch command.code:sudo mount -n -o remount,rw / sudo touch /forcefsck sudo reboot
option use -f parameter shutdown command this:
code:sudo shutdown -rf now
