new ubuntu. instead of quicken taxes trying use gnucash. in quicken there place in register (category) in end 1 can create expense/loss report taxes. simple. see need in gnucash except important feature. missing?
tried download quicken (in desparation) ubuntu no avail. won't open. prefer use software in ubuntu if can find 1 has category feature check register taxes. open...just want these blasted taxes completed...

engineer not accountant, accountants can explain better. use kmymoney, of linux accounting systems more real accounting systems in use chart of accounts. each has default set of accounts , can add more business/household may need. have each transaction in account , run reports summing on accounts. accounts categories.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
