Thread: ubuntu 10.10 64-bit on Lenovo 3000 N100 - does not boot

hi,
brother has lenovo 3000/n100 15.4"/1.66ghz core duo t2300/80gb.
far understand it's specs should run ubuntu 10.10 64-bit.
when tried run usb thumbdrive (it worked few other laptops before)
got first ubuntu menu (run usb / install / boot hard drive),
chose run ubuntu usb thumb drive.
there black screen 2-3 seconds
, said current version not recognize right cpu run ubuntu on. (free language)
thought oppurtunity migrate him xp ubuntu got dissapointed.
did body run version of ubuntu on laptop same specs ?
there solution how ?
isn't 2 x processor computer ?
should use 32-bit laptop ?

yes, doesn't mean can run 64bit os.
