are the icons supposed to be grey?

i moved ps elements ps6 - menu bar tools grey in ps6? makes hard find stuff. there maybe setting in preferences can turn on icon colors?

you can't change color of icons per se, change color of interface may make easier see things.

 

under photoshop preferences>interface>appearance>color theme
