Thread: Default shortcuts disappeared from desktop

good morning!
i've been dinking around cairodock , docky morning. docky seemed enough uninstalled cairo. @ point (not sure when exactly) default xubuntu shortcuts should visible on upper left of desktop left building.

if go settings>settings manager>desktop, click on "icons" tab, home, filesystem, trash, , removable devices icons listed , checked.

imagine new ones can created if can figure out how, i'd rather find out why icons system says there not.

in same dialog box (settings>settings manager>desktop, click on "icons" tab), have selected in "icon type" drop-down? believe needs set file/launcher icons. if is, try setting else , again.

also, xfdesktop needs running icons displayed. terminal window:
code:
ps -ef | grep xfdesktop | grep -v grep
