i'm complete noob ubuntu.
i've installed ubuntu 9.04 on pc triple boot w7 & vista.
i've used wubi installer take head ache out the boot manager issues. when using wubi, asks dekstop environment want install.
have option of;
ubuntu,
kubuntu,
xubuntu
mythbuntu

main differences between environments? , suit me best, i'll using ubuntu 'toy' opposed main os (w7).
in advance answers

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
