Validating the Lightroom 4 Educator version

i purchased educator version of lightroom 4.  had difficulty downloading version orders , advised adobe sownload trial version worked fine.  received serial number adobe, indicate educator's proof accepted?  enter serial number trial version validate purchase?

foggy should given option enter serial number when opening photoshop lightroom.  available in same screen indicates how many days remaining trial.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
