Is Adobe going to provide "hardship" subscriptions?

i don't love new model , think pricing bit high, has advantages , within income level tenable.

 

however, way see it:

 

lose job, lose tools.

 

this particularly painful designer, 2008 showed, anyone  someday find pink slip. happens , may discover choosing between paying rent , editing photos. professional literally lose tools need eek out meager income stream.

 

even if you're not pro, save creations, photos, etc. in adobe-only supported formats , locked out of them. if depend on adobe raw photo editing, raws become unreadable.

 

yes, there alternatives, current boxed license model tools remain "forever". don't turn off when miss payment.

 

so, can live with adobe's move, drug makers, adobe going have "hardship plan" need products can no longer afford them? or going kick proverbial "man when he's down"?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
