Seeing Error 500 instead of CF errors in my browser?

hi,


we running coldfusion 9.02 hotfixes , updates , of late i'm starting more "internal server error 500" instead of standard coldfusion errors.  seems happen in cf 10 too.

 

it seems these errors come web server (iis in case), makes difficult troubleshoot problem.  feel changed because i'm seeing more of these rather getting typical cf error when goes wrong.  when see error 500 feel more of web server error, maybe i'm wrong.

 

i use firefox lot , have firebug plugin , @ times see actual coldfusion error message listed in firebug, in browser window see "error 500 internal server error.

 

does know why might getting general error 500 issues versus seeing standard cf error messages when goes wrong?

 

any appreciated.

hi westside, in cf10admin > server settings > settings > request size limits value have maximum number of post request parameters eg 100?

 

for cf9 in coldfusion9\lib\neo-runtime.xml

var name="postparameterslimit"><number>100.0</number>

 

alter value 500 (value differ testing) restart cf application service , retest applications.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
