hi have ubuntu desktop 11.10 32bit , when http://www.webupd8.org , download - sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/themes - , synaptic package manager keep saying error occurred -> e: type 'bupd8team/themes/ubuntu' not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/webupd8team-themes-oneiric.list
e: list of sources not read.
go repository dialog correct problem.
e: _cache->open() failed, please report.
webupd8team-themes-oneiric.list locked when can not delete how do please

something must have gone wrong adding ppa.
remove it:
code:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/webupd8team-themes-oneiric.list
then run following re-add:
code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/themes
don't download while @ it. :~)

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
