hello,
im considering purchase of desktop install ubuntu 8.04 lts can't find indication supports ubuntu 8.04 lts, has installed in machine?

ubuntu 8.04 not supported more , it's use dangerous because there no updates plug security holes. furthermore find problems in hardware integration, because new computer has components not existing year 2008 in 8.04 developed.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
