Thread: Upgrade Bind from 9.4.2 to 9.8.1?

i need upgrade bind , want keep config files intact it's been working great 3 years now. have server , dns installed no gui it's cmd line.

i've ran apt-get update.
can upgrade , keep config files intact?
if can what's proper syntax command? i'm guessing there's switches.
or simple apt-get upgrade?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
