Dvrcast application - duration reported incorrectly

we using vbrick 7000 series unit stream via rtmp dvrcast application running on adobe media server 5.  vbrick using system uptime timestamp video.  result, when watching video using strobe media player, duration of video shown total system uptime.  if vbrick has been powered on 5 hours, streaming 30 seconds, duration 5:00:00, though there 30 seconds of actual content.  there can done in server-side code, or player matter, correct duration - referencing timestamp @ beginning of stream instead of assuming start 00:00:00?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
