Full Screen Navigation checkbox for 'advance every ## seconds' does not work

acrobat x pro:

 

drop-down menu: edit, preferences, full screen, full screen navigation:

 

whatever setting put in 'advance every ## seconds' check box, pages of pdf file being displayed in full screen mode advance @ pace of 3 seconds per page.

i don't it.

why don't pages change @ number of seconds set in checkbox (i.e. every 10 or 15 seconds) ?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
