Is there a way to change the color of a linked eps or ai file in InDesign?

i have questionaire form i'm placing in several documents. need same in instances except occurs in 4/c on docs , 1/c (black) on others.

it'd best have indesign files link same eps (or ai, or eps) file know change text of linked questionaire reflected on of indesign docs. don't think indesign let me change color of text , other filled or stoked elements of eps, ai, or pdf files.

i can change these in grayscale tif file. rasterising questionaire @ high dpi defeats live update feature i'm trying add here (and bloats file size).

could fact can't change document color mode grayscale in ai factor here?

thank time!

the way can think of use spot colour in illustrator.

you can place indesign , spot colour should show in swatches panel.

in indesign - create new swatch , have spot colour too.

using swatches panel flyout menu (top right) can go ink manager...

from here can map colour used in illustrator colour have creaeted in indesign.

this replace colour in indesign - , results may vary on output.

you need use view>overprint preview view results.

hope helps.
