Thread: Base Install, Outgoing Internet works. Nothing Incoming

i built ubuntu squid server - server can browse internet, , internally squid works should (using reverse proxy) - traffic coming internet seems blocked server.

have forwarded port 80 server (squid) , tried forwarding 10000 webmin , 22 ssh , none of them work.

ufw off ... , im stump ..

missing obvious?

in terminal

sudo tcpdump -i port 22

then ssh machine,
if see no output on tcpdump, problem elsewhere

control c , try web traffic

code:

sudo tcpdump -i port 80

do web stuff server.
if see no output on tcpdump, problem elsewhere

webmin (you mentioned port 10000)

code:

sudo tcpdump -i port 10000

do webmin stuff server.
if see no output on tcpdump..... can guess rest
