Thread: boot options for running in a low memory system

-

just installed (the base) ubuntu 10.04 minimal cd on old cheap lowend pc.

openssh-server package installed after minimal base.
pc being used provide occasional ssh access other systems upstream.

48 mb of ram has been working without problems.

wondering ...
there options can appended grub_cmdline_linux_default tweak such low memory environment?

what trying accomplish?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
