Thread: connect phone to router to ubuntu?

hi, it's bit complicated me
have andriod phone, having proxy application giving me options:
proxy settings:
host:
port:
proxytype:http/socks4/socks5
account information:
user:
password:

there wireless modem/router android connected to, , has obtained ip address: 192.168.1.5

ubuntu-pc connected router has obtained ip address: 192.168.1.4
ubuntu connected server-1 using ssh root@server-1 -d 9999
creating socks proxy on 127.0.0.1 on port 9999

need connect andriod through router ubuntu, , tell use socks on ubuntu
, now, android browser uses socks proxy of ubuntu

should in proxy application of andriod , on ubuntu?

should "i have use configuration!!!"
not possible use socks proxy directly, reasons....
can help?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
