i know truecrypt windows lets encrypt entire os can not linux.

there way make truecrypt container, move / it, , then, somehow, whenever boot pc, enter password decrypt it, os?

you can full disk encryption lvm2/luks , when boot os prompted type in password.

isn't true "full disk encryption" though, cannot encrypt boot partition. partition doesn't have valuable data on it.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
