Thread: How big should I make my home partition actually? Use ALL of the remaining size?

i plan re-install system. hdd 250gb. @ moment, partitioned this:

partition 1: swap, 4gb
partition 2: root, etc4, 26gb
partition 3: home, ext4, 220gb

question is: make sense use all of rest home partition?
also, plan encrypt 'home' ecryptfs, or @ least create 1 encrypted folder 'private' personal stuff.
situation, there disadvantages didn't think of?

currently, i'm using ubuntu 11.10.

looks me.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
