Thread: Keyboard remapping

i running ubuntu 11.10 on dell latitude d620.

keyboard not functioning properly. "p" key won't respond when pressed, types itself. need way of disabling key , remapping "p" different key. suppose there should easy way of doing in terminal.

the old school way deal sort of thing use xmodmap. maybe it's still way, haven't looked long time.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
