Thread: No list of operating systems

so, came around installing ubuntu, aiming dual boot system, along side w7.

ubuntu [probably] installed perfectly, however, i'm not able boot ubuntu.

have partially given up, understanding bl, mbr , on, first time i've had dual boot none windows os. under impression, ubuntu fix mbr, able choose either os.

technical stuff..
have 2 hdd installed. hd0 has 3 partitions, w7 installed on partition 0 - partitions 1 , 2 ntfs partitions, used in w7 installation, , contains files etc.

second hdd had (before ubuntu installation) 2 partitions, partition 0 chosen ubuntu installation. partition 1, again ntfs partition.
ubuntu install created total of 3 partitions, , hdd looks (taken easybcd)
hd1,0: swap [10gb]
hd1,1: ntfs [148gb]
hd1,2: linux [137gb]
hd1,3: swap [3gb]

now, like, links, basic info, tips , tricks creating mbr, installing grub - really, make pc booting ubuntu, , able choose os want boot.. :-)

though have been using both ubuntu , windows separately, i'm of novice in department.

have tried set in bios boot second hdd first option? if ubuntu installed correctly grub2 bootloader on mbr of hdd. if computer still booting first disk keep loading windows directly since can't see linux.

thing why have 2 swap partitions since need 1 (if it's true both swap partitions), that's not big problem. in fact it's not problem @ except space can used better.
