Thread: Problem getting wireless connection on Dell Inspiron 7110

hello,

have today, first time ever saw, used , installed ubuntu 11.10 (64 bit) on dell inspiron 7110. after installation updated system (let download latest software , drivers). installed in dual boot windows 7. on windows 7 wireless connection router works fine: wpa1 tkip (private) security.
have following problem in ubuntu: can connect unsecured network of neighbours, can not own network wich has wpa1+tkip. since works on same laptop windows 7 suspect configration or driver issue. searched forum , see many problems wireless connection, incl. people being able connect network in wep ,but not in wpa1 tkip.

in ubuntu network manager not list/show network, list others including wireless security. fact network not listed happens on windows or mac (in case have key network ssid , of course password after fine). did same on ubuntu whatever try , keeps searching , asking wpa1/tkip key.

appreciate way solve problem (i absolutely new/fresh linux/ubuntu).

in attached text file have listed commands looks giving insight configuration/problem executed terminal , output.
