i got system76 lemur3 laptop.. run update tool checked out software sources screen first. default "unsupported updates (oneiric-backports)" selected. never check because figure "why want unsupported update?". system 76 has selected default.

because needs on keep drivers date or something? or should fine unchecking it?

the backports repository has newer versions of installed packages. without backports, security updates existing packages, not newer versions. if fine or don't want risk instability, disable backports. default enabled in ubuntu installations , has, far know, nothing system 76.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
