A new workflow question

here again, presenting dilemma forum in hope of getting clarity in know!
i start stating (as have before) after effects fourm might not best place question, place know start - have received here on past year makes me want post questions here.. (ill keep "why sky blue type questions google though!)
ok, here go.
we shooting on red scarlet. footage being shot @ 4k resolution - post movement , zooming options, , rest, options gives in post - planned or not. running 4 machines @ office, 2 mac's , 2 pc's. pc work on has best specs, second pc matches first, exception of screen card 1 version behind (and not supported cs6). 2 mac's not worth mentioning
i trying figure out best workflow, starting @ r3d rawfootage, down line mxf op1a deliverables. easy question sure!
i aware there lot still work out, need starting questions sorted, , thats hope forum can assist. had dit come office day give advice, , ran through great workflow, however, not sure best suited trying - correct in saying no workflow universal, every project may require tweaks on specific workflow? here 1 suggested us:
1) shoot 4k r3d raw
2) open in redcinex , transcode hd editorials files (quicktime, avid dnxhd codec, debayer set (screenshot below))
3) import premier , perform first cut edit (offlines) - save edl cut
4) import edl redcinex , export new masters original r3d raw files openexr or dpx sequences.
5) import new masters premier dynamic link after effects complete composits (effects etc)
6) media encoder export various final renders
in above workflow, last 2 steps added me, workflow stopped @ step 4. looks great, because of our project needs, not sure how work. keeping in mind, shots have green screen miniature characters , require retiming twixtor , stabalizing etc addition of lip synch tool use. not sure how work edl files, or used - realize big gap in lnowledge, there go - hate admit dont understand timecode, or needed for. starting grips it, , far understand timecode important being able recover data loss of footage - , getting point loss occured knowing part of clip recover. concerned, exporting these lower resolution intermediated wont us, come out @ 1920x1080, in rough edit, cant post moves want to. looking @ this, need work on shots @ 4k resolution - work between premier , after effects starts getting blurry here. do first, cut in premier, rough keying , rough cropping allow layers visible , go after effects cleaning up, or start in after effects, key, retime , go premier cut. problem approach, have no way of knowing parts of clip extract , retime, have not seen edit know how layers interact.
whew, getting myself in bundle here, , hoping uneccesarily complicating everything!
have been running through many angles, , watching many videos on red workflows etc, , come following (and questions , concerns afterwards). lets set scene - 2 characters, 1 background set. 6 second clip. background seen, character 1 , 2 come shot each side of screen , move centre - full body shot.(2 sec). characters meet in middle , camera zooms closer shot of heads (done manipulating 4k images) 1 sec. zooom out original shot (1 sec). both characters move right , camera pans along background follow them (1 sec) movement done manipulating 4k background plate. simple scene, , using test workfow make sense. characters shot against green screen, set shot locked off camera, shot post movement in mind. each footage clip full ten second shot allow selection of best movement.
1) shoot 4k r3d raw
2) open in redcinex , trancode highly compressed 4096x2160 intermediate codec (still figure out one)
3) thought open in prelude , ingest selected part of footage, has been pointed out me need see characters interactingto know parts of 10 second clip need (and starting know prelude!)
4) open editorial clips in premier , perform rough edit. rough cropping , keying , retiming twixtor (as needed) see characters interact against background.
5) replace after effects comp dynamic link. perform keying, retiming (as needed) , other effects (including lip synch , facial manipulations liquify tool)
6) in premier, confirm scene reacting , looking expected.
7) in after effects, import original r3d raw footage , replace video layers needed. way, have been able perform of work, reasonable performance pc.
8) re key (i assume needed if footage replaced) other manipulations should remain intact?
9) collect project save, save premier project , send them on colour team graded.
does make sense?
say following
1) shoot 4k r3d raw
2) open in redcinex, perform light grade, correcting iso , exposure flat accross 3 pieces of footage scene.
3) transcode , export dpx or openexr sequence , never r3d raw. image sequence still contain enough original image information of use colourist? light grade burned in sequence?
4) use new masters , follow steps above complete scene.
i apologize extremely long post, if nothing else, hope provided laugh few (thinking, poor chap...he has no idea!). apologize placing in ae forum, there go.
any advice appreciated, thoughts well. in closing, did clip day before yesterday http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-after-effects-cs6/editing-with-red-adobe-premiere-pro-edit -up-to-5k-with-ease/ , great, tested out using 4k raw throughout workflow, , work when resolution dropped, however, due precision of face manipulations, dont think viable solution hardware have.
well, there have it, ramblings of mad man end here day - thank taking time read them..

since brushed on pc specs, here forum required details:
- cs6 version 11.0.2.12.
- last updated week ago, asume there new 1 out
- pc1 windows 7 version 6.1 build 7601 service pack 1 64bit
- pc2 windows 8 (urgh)
- mac1 , mac 2 osx 10.8.3
- pc1 , pc2 intel core i7-3370 3.4ghz 8 cores, 32gb memory, nvidia geforce gtx 570, 1 internal c drive adobe apps installed on it, 1 external usb3 connected 2tb spinning disk.
- pc2 has nvidia ge force gtx 560 ti gpu
ill leave @ that, work done on pc use.
