After Effects and Cinema 4D but what about Carrara and Poser

i know autodesk owns maya, 3ds , softimage's/avid's xsi.  having said don't doubt why adobe partnered cinema 4d. not fan of cinema 4d myself , have prefered maya, 3ds max or xsi on cinema 4d integration after effects know autodesk not want partner adobe because smoke software competiton adobe's ae , premiere combo. think after effects awesome , fact has great integration cinema 4d cool least think adobe have bought poser or carrara daz. carrara has many great rendering features hair, cloth, fluid dynamics , more. ae should keep cinema 4d render engine think adobe should invest in own 3d software integration after effects well.

 

does else want see after effects integrate other 3d software? cinema 4d nice start not first choice.

cinema 4d logical choice.  reknowned it's compatibility features after effects already.  common tool of choice many of motion graphics designers need 3d , after effects.

 

maybe 1 day we'll see universal rendering engine allows use of 3d software within compositing tools after effects.  or maybe after effects become true 3d package itself.  until then, i'm thrilled c4d compatibility introduced upgrade.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
