How do I clear areas of objects that bleed into the canvas?
i'm going through such hard time trying figure out. in illustration below, can see edges of guy's fingers bleeding off artboard , canvas. it's goal animate frame frame, , have hands move in canvas. thing is, when export frames png files, still able see on canvas. don't want that. want see on artboard.
as researching this, appears have create clipping mask, none of pages read seemed specify on how that. there page in 7 steps (http://www.bittbox.com/illustrator/requested-tutorial-crop-excess-illustrator-artwork), can't complete since don't know changed image attributes. , appears image attributes not in document setup, how determine how large artboard (besides using rulers)?
is there not regular cropping tool automatically clears exceeding edges of artboard? save time.
when exporting check "use artboards"
