I need help setting up CF Builder to remote server

i have purchased cf builder , trying set connect website has coldfusion on it.

the company set me no longer offering support learning program in coldfusion fast can.

i running on mac plenty of speed , memory.

i have watched video number of times

obviously didn't either , has been programing in cf years. according forum, not ones confused video. rather spending hours on phone trying right department can answer question hoping can solve faster.

1. which blanks or fields pertain remote host , pertain cf builder? can guess rds user name , password new cf builder program purchased. (right?)
2. the server name, i'm guessing in case not "localsrv" shown in video remote server name. (right?)
3. the application server has how cf set on remote host. (right?)
4. host name. again not local shows in video should ip address of remote server in case should xx.xx.xxx.xxx right?  not url (website.com) , no http:// or else.
5. when entered host name (the ip address of remote server) auto select did not change "is remote" mean not entering right information or missing something?(i did change manually)
6. under "local server settings" (which confusing since trying set remote server) "server home path"?  refer on remote server or supposed file want use on local computer (like dreamweaver)? video sounds me talking remote server settings since ask "stand alone" or "multiserver" instance helpful if gave little more insight want exactly.
7. same goes "document root", on computer or talking location of cf resides on remote server? again, says "local server settings" sounds video referring "remote server".
8. i take "version" running on remote server?

am correct in assuming if manage right information/answers above fields take hook remote server? or there more blanks need fill in beyond ask here?

just update. answered faster decided call adobe @ 800-833-6687 technical assistance. have been on hold 2 hours , fifteen minutes. beyond terrible service
