Illustrator - not responding.

illustrator cs6 launch fine. when open illustrator file spin wheel. in  activity monitor not responding , have force quite. have done following try fix problem.

 

1. software updates

2. reset preferences

3. repaired permissions

4. onyx

5. uninstall , re-install properly.

 

my files located on local hd , same thing happens if file open or double click file open.

 

i have called adobe support line , unhelpful. called apple store , said bring in make sure wasnt mac book pro problem.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
