Premier Pro is slowing the audio of a clip over time why?

there nothing wrong clip @ online before download , when download sound syncs video, when bring clip premier pro , play sound starts off once again in sync, end of clip sound out of sync picture. when go export video sequence same thing clip starts out fine,  on time becomes out of sync. premier doing , why?

premiere pro professional level editor designed work standardized camera formats.  many non-standard formats may work, not all.  best option stick using source material shot using supported camera format, rather videos downloaded off internet.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
