Problem with SWF Flash video not stopping

using html widget have created link streaming flash videos swf files built in video controls. thing of beauty see videos stream right photoshop cs6 in panel. can click on built in controls , stop video. but, when click on other tabs or parts of the same project, audio starts play again video stopped. have close out panel entirely videos stop. have not tried flv videos next.  windows.

tried open youtube.com, , click on other tabs. video not start play when click other tabs.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
