Thread: after kubuntu 11.10 boots go to commant line(no graphical interface)

im new linux world , badly need help....

installed kubuntu 11.10 on intel pentium 4 2.40ghz desktop computer few days ago , today instead of booting gui login page, boots command line....

had problems graphic card also(onboard intel 82845g/gl/ge/pe/gv)
kubuntu11.10 , ubuntu11.10 doesn't gave proper graphic performance.. kubuntu9.10 worked fine ...

anyway can tell me how gui login page again? , please tell me can download graphic drivers this...

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
