hi!
have problem: try install ubuntu on notebook dual graphics (amd radeon hd 6470m , amd radeon(tm) hd 6220g) when start install screen become black. have read lot of guide not solve problem. have written ubuntu on usb device unebootin; when starts press tab , modify ...quiet splash -- in "...quiet splash nomodeset". after see pink screen of ubuntu , goes in screen:

how can continue installation?

why add nomodeset?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
