hey. took (broken) screen off laptop. i'm temporary using tv use laptop around. has ubuntu 10.10 , no other os. possible me make external display default on boot itself? example want install windows 7 on there i'm afraid laptop's driver won't recognize external display default though in ubuntu(the screen doesn't come on tv until ubuntu running, not laptop). if there's nothing can here, can somehow connect external display monitor or screen's wires?

you hard pressed try that. if able need wiring config display wiring config monitor. don't think attempt it.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
