Thread: Fix ATI Radeon driver issue

hi,

i've been using ubuntu 11.10 built-in open source drivers ati radeon xpress200, noticed problems (not rendering properly, freezing) specific video types (like .mp4, .mpeg , etc) , decided try proprietary version (catalyst). after installation failed, figured out ati not support driver anymore 11.10. i'm not wise linux user, guess messed things little, , now, when try log in, starts loading, stops , come login display again. can still use command line try fix it. tried removing fglrx, , reinstalling xserver-xorg-video-radeon, didn't make difference.

can me figure out?

thank much,
luiz.

what commands did issue remove proprietary driver?
