Thread: gsettings missing

i should able run gsettings, every time run "gsettings" command in terminal message "command not found: gsettings"

mind you, did not typical ubuntu install on computer. did command line install alternate cd, manually added in lightdm & gnome-shell (the idea make purely gnome-shell version of oneiric). has worked great except 1 issue.

checked have following installed:
gsettings-desktop-schemas
dconf-gsettings-backend
dconf-tools
libdconf0

i ran gsettings command using /bin/bash shell instead of usual /bin/zsh. bash shell gave me hint needed solve this:
"the program 'gsettings' not installed. can install typing: sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-bin

installed libglib2.0-bin , solved problem.
