Thread: Having a little trouble running an extended desktop

hi, , reading, having little trouble setting extended desktop dual monitors in 11.10.... both monitors can run clone when go set extended desktop error message [code]requested position/size crtc 147 outside allowed limit: position=(1600, 0), size=(1280, 960), maximum=(1920, 1920)[/code.. have 2 different size monitors capable of different resolutions, have both set same resolution....

here screenshot of see in display manager when try move monitors around extended desktop.

wanting move acer 20 right of acer 22...

working fine before updated system (fresh install) after updates can't moved @ all. ideas?

i ran 2 different displays different resolutions long time, using xinerama.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
