Thread: I need open office

hi,

trying install open office in kubuntu 11.10. tried rpm, recommended openoffice web site , told me use alien instead. tried alien , didn't work.

use antidote (advanced unfree grammar checker french):

says integrates libre office doesn't, crashes libre office. integrates fine open office. adds own menu before "file" menu , can lauched within open office open office normal spell checker. (it's idea use both tools french).

anyway, can't open office, either end libre office or errors. please help.

try getting straight original download site:
http://www.openoffice.org/download/o...ml#tested-full

pick appropriate .deb file , install dpkg.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
