Thread: Lenovo ideapad z370 no wireless

hi,

got problem lenovo thinkpad. when first installed oneiric ocelot - 11.10, had no problem wireless. re-installed same system few days ago , since can't turn on wireless. computer doesn't find it. i've installed sta (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1604868). seems work in additional drivers. when write "sudo rfkill list" message:

0: ideapad_wlan: wireless lan
soft blocked: no
hard blocked: no
1: ideapad_bluetooth: bluetooth
soft blocked: no
hard blocked: no
2: brcmwl-0: wireless lan
soft blocked: no
hard blocked: yes

can please me? thank you!

hi, says hard blocked ususally means actual switch off on computer try turning on switch or key press f12 or fn f12, may have @ documentation see turns on.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
