Thread: Libre office table of content and page numbering

i creating table of contents book using libre office.

start selecting chapter titles 1 one , doing
insert - indexes , tables - entry

go last page , do
insert - indexes , tables - indexes , tables
select "table of content" , created.

problem pages numbered start of actual text, not first page. there 6 pages stuff (or nothing) before text starts.

table of contents says first chapter on page 7 , if @ page numbers first page of chapter 1 page 1.

table of content cannot edited can copy-pasted on new page, becomes editable. workaround copy-paste it, delete original, substract 6 every page number.

wondering if knew better way of doing this?
