my situation , questions:

student of languages , switched ubuntu it's ease of use while studying languages. (language select @ login screen, including keyboard layout, language support in open/libre-office, , more. ubuntu user unfriendly students of language looking different distro satify needs.

in past have preferred ubuntu on variety of reasons in addition core reasons , familiarity i'd stick close possible lubuntu might provide opportunity.

1) lubuntu have language repositories enable me install multiple languages on system

2) lubuntu continue support "select language @ login" in login manager? (including keyboard layout

3) have access 3rd party drivers same way did in ubuntu in sytem settings.

4) lubuntu able handle additional applications want install, such libreoffice, eternallands, gimp, blender3d, inkscape, planeshift, chromium-bsu, galaga, etc. ironhide optimus (opensource support nvidia's hybrid optimus gpu system) etc.?

have asus n53sv intel quad core intel/nvidia optimus hybrid gpu 3gb ram 500gb hd.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
